The leg shackles clank with every short step as they move down a hallway, the camera catching a close-up of the cuffs behind her back and the chain between her ankles. They arrive in a basement room with a height chart on one wall and a board of chains and cuffs on the other. Lexie welcomes her to what she calls her basement prison and sits her down in a chair. This is where things go off the books. Lexie pulls out a long rope and starts tying Gracie to the chair, wrapping it around her neck, chest, torso, and thighs, layer after layer, pulling it tight with every pass. She tells Gracie she knows she’s involved in the disappearance of her girlfriend Samantha and her sister Katie, that nobody has responded to her calls or texts for seven days. Gracie tries to respond through the gag but can barely make a sound. Lexie finishes the tie, steps back, and finally removes the gag to let her talk.
