I told you. I finally did something right.” Siren is uncuffed for the meeting, given one hour with her attorney. After the consultation, Lo Valentine delivers the verdict. The evidence was unable to confirm, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that Siren was the one involved in the incident on August 12th. They can no longer hold her past 24 hours. Siren erupts. “I fucking told you guys! Why are you guys wasting my time for real?” Lo Valentine holds firm: Siren cannot leave the state. Her husband is being brought in and the car will be thoroughly searched. If anything is found, she could be back. Siren changes out of the orange jumpsuit and back into her street clothes, still fuming. “You should have brought him in from the start.” Lo Valentine recuffs her one final time for the walk to the exit. “You really shouldn’t be driving other people’s cars if you don’t want to be blamed for things you supposedly didn’t do.” The gate opens, the cuffs come off, and Siren walks free, for now. The End.
